Pumpkin Carving/Office Party!!

Every Thursday night is a PARTY because I get to hang out with Aaron, Rachel, and Dwight Schrewt. They bring "The Office" board game (yes- I said "board game" complete with office olympics & schrewt bucks!) Yesterday we expanded the party to include Mossi, Sharla, Whitney's pumpkin chocolate chip cookies, and some pumpkin carving!

My mom always told me, "Without mothers, there would be no holidays." So true. Think about it- who makes the festive food and crafty decorations? Who makes your family take the cheesy everyone-has-to-match family portrait? Who makes your halloween costume out of forgotten hand-me-down treasures? And I'm so thankful she did because it made all the difference.

I realized that the cheesy mom came out in me when I made sure Wendy was wearing her halloween p.j.'s for the pumpkin carving/office party (fully equipped with witch's hat beanie). I can't help it.

Stop it! First, I'm SOOOOOO jealous you play the Office board game. I gave it to Nanette for her birthday and was so looking forward to playing it when I went to her house this last time and her DVD was broken! And then to have a party with others is even better! I LOVE halloween parties. This sounds like so much fun. And how dang cute is Wendy in the costume. I am still giggling. She is so so cute! Thank you for posting about this.

I am definitely going to have to check out this Office board game. Sounds like mucho fun. Also, I hear you about moms making the holidays. Without all our efforts and feeling the festivity there would really be nothing. I enjoy, nay, love holidays, so I don't think my kids are going to hurt for anything in that department. Anyway, that sounds like such a fun evening!
