Lovely Love

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! I wanted to share (brag about) a crafty, valentine's-y gift I made for my husband. I was actually too excited about it to save it for Valentine's Day and ended up giving it to him for Christmas.

*you sick of this picture yet?

Figured out how to turn a picture into a stencil here.

Printed it out on cardstock paper, in grey to save some ink.

Cut it out with an exacto knife the best I could and sponge painted it onto a shirt with acrylic paint + a fabric medium to make it stay through the wash.

Tadaa! I lovely love this shirt.

Happy Valentine's Day to my sweetheart. Je t'aime.

Love that shirt too! How did you know how to do it??

It's hard to believe that it has almost been a year since we went to Paris...Is it time to go again??

Um, this is the cutest idea ever. Me thinks you need to open an etsy shop and have people submit photos and they can pay you $35 for you to do this for them. Hurry! Pull this post down so nobody else will know how to do it!!!!!

p.s., can I be your first customer?

(btw, first time commenter. I've followed your blog for a few months now. I found you through Ruth, and I found Ruth by accident a few years ago when I lived in Redlands. Over.)

The other day I read your article on www.politesocietymagazine.com and I really liked your writing.

And personally I'm glad that you loved Paris and weren't disappointed as Carrie when you had such high expectations!
