The Happiest Place on Earth

*her favorite rides: the carousel and it's a small world

Now that summer is over and our passes aren't blacked out anymore, Wendy and I have been going on a lot of mother-daughter dates to Disneyland! I've always enjoyed going to Disneyland, but getting to watch my little girl light up as she experiences it for the first time is a whole knew kind of wonderful.

Currently, her favorite part of going to Disneyland is getting to see the princesses. I really think she thinks they're the real ones. She does this slow motion running hug to them then caresses their face and hair as they talk to her. And MAN those girls are good. They do such a great job of returning the love and making her feel special. Whoever is hiring/training these girls deserves a raise.

Wendy knows EVERY Disney song and sings them to herself all day long. In her little voice and with her little lisp, it's the cutest thing I've ever seen/heard, but the girl WILL NOT perform for the video camera. I've tried everything: begging, bribes, sneaking up on her... nothing works. She always catches me because the flip beeps when it turns on. Then she stops. So no video.

these pictures are SO AMAZING!!! you have to get a new video camera that doesn't beep. i'd love to see her cute little songs!

argh, the flip does that to me, too. that beep when it turns on is WAY too loud and penny stops doing whatever i'm trying to videotape and stares at the camera. such cute disneyland pics! i'm way jealous, i would love to take penny there, just her and me. and i agree, those princesses are amazingly accurate looking and so nice to the kids. wendy looks adorable!

You gotta set it up somewhere, like on a shelf in another room, then turn it on. Then wait a bit, have her come in and do her little bit. there are so many free "editing" softwares out there you can just cut out the first part. That's what I had to do with girls (although that was years ago and I didn't have a flip, but the video camera was loud enough). You gotta do whatcha gotta do. Oh, and X&X loved the princesses too. Still do. I bought them this little autograph book that had a picture slot. They took pictures with every princess and then had them sign their book. Then when I printed the pictures, I slid the corresponding picture in. They still love to go back and look at it. haha. And they're 11! I miss our Disney passes. Wendy is DARLING!

You need to print up these pictures of her and make a little photo album for her. She loves to get the picture in my house of the little neices at Disneyland when they were all dressed like princesses.

I just read Christy's post...that is a better idea...an Autograph book : )

Wendy scored that day. How on earth did you get all those princesses on one day? That is amazing@

Wendy does look so comfortable. She's snuggling up to those girls as if she's known them for years, but really she has!! So cute.
